Selsley Cricket Club
During the 1880's Sir Samual Marling, who also commissioned All Saints, set about creating a cricket pitch on Selsley Hill. All work was done with pick and shovel, horse and cart. Selsley Cricket team first played on the pitch in 1886 and excluding the war years, the club has played there ever since.
The club's main goal is to encourage people to play cricket!. Players and volunteers come from all walks of life, united by a love of the game, if not cricketing expertise! Get in touch and get involved. You can be sure of a warm welcome.
We recently ran a successful fund raising campaign, raising £5000 to invest in the ground and facilities which will really help us work on the playing surface and repair the pavilion.
If you would like to play cricket for Selsley, against other clubs in the Stroud Valleys and surrounding areas, call Club Captain Paul Ind on 07814-745135, or email for more information.
Check back in the spring for our 2025 season schedule.
